12 Days of Christmas (2)

2nd Day of Christmas: Best Steeler Ever...

Christmas Eve... Wow, I can not believe it is our last two days of doing the 12 Days of Christmas. Lets enjoy them! The NFL Network is playing the top 10 Steelers of all-time. Who makes your list, and who is number one? This is going to be very interesting to see a team that has had so much success, and for a crew to break it down to just 10 people. My 10:

10.Mel Blount
9.Rod Woodson
8.Franco Harris
7.Jerome Bettis
6.Lynn Swann
5.John Stallworth
4.Troy Polamalu
3.Joe Greene
2.Hines Ward
1.Jack Lambert

If I could make this list longer I would put Terry Bradshaw, Dermontti Dawson, Ben Roethlisberger, Jack Ham, James Farrior and Mike Webster on this list. There so many greats on this team. It is hard to put them on a list like this. Good Luck NFL Network!

12 Days of Christmas (3)

3rd Day of Christmas: Chiefs overlooked...

Are the Chiefs being overlooked in the Playoff run? We know that the Chiefs are having a very good season. They have been a tough match up every single week, and it starts with the running game. Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones are both having good numbers week in and week out. Probably the most dominating running game right now people would say. Matt Cassel is having a good season as well. He has been finding one target that is having a great season, Dwayne Bowe. Man, this team has weapons and has wins, all they need now is a playoff game. Don't overlook this team. As soon as you do, they might dominate you.

12 Days of Christmas (4)

4th Day of Christmas: Best of the NFC...

Who is the best in the NFC? Leading the conference right now is the Falcons. This team just doesn't seem to lose. If the keep this up, they just may be the very best.
The Bears are having a very good season and leading the NFC North. It looks like that they will win this division. If Cutler can stay away from silly mistakes, along with a good Bears defense, this Bears team is very tough..
The Eagles have just taught the Giants a lesson. Can Vick keep this success up to maybe head to the Super Bowl?
The Giants defense is very good, and are hungry to win. If they play the Eagles again, it is going to be good match up. The Giants won't forget that last game. If Eli Manning can stay away from making bad decisions, the Giants might be the best.
Do not forget about the Saints. A very dangerous offense. Brees having another fine year. Are they the best. This race is so close, and there are so many good teams. I hope that you are as zoned in as I am!

12 Days of Christmas (5)

5th Day of Christmas:  Lions on a roll...

The Lions are on a roll as they just won their second game in a row, and snapped their losing steak on the road which was up to 26 straight road losses. The Lions have not had back-to-back wins since 2007. This team is winning without their starting quarterback, Matthew Stafford. This team may be one very good team for years to come. They have some great talent, and they are hungry to get better. I hope they can keep this up!

12 Days of Christmas (6)

6th Day of Christmas: Giants are Embarrassed...

On December 20th, the Giants were completely stunned by Mike Vick and the Eagles. At halftime the Giants were rolling 24-7. Then the game just started turning the other way around. Much wouldn't happen in the third quarter. Sparks would fly in the fourth quarter. where the Eagles would march back and win the ball game 38-31. Mike Vick showed great leadership to march back and win this game. This game had a chance to go into overtime, but Matt Dodge, punts the ball to Desean Jackson, and the rest is history. It was a very dramatic finish and now the Eagles are on top of the division.

"It's good to have critics cause that is what motivates you and takes your game to another level."-Mike Vick

Hotline Talk

Hey guys. Has been a busy day up on the Hotline today. I hope that you are keeping up. I decided to bring you guys another article to just talk football. I want to talk about some headlines going around the NFL right now. In this specific post, if you are a NFL fan then post a comment on your opinion on these topics. I want all the talk I can get up on here. You will see a lot more talk up on here. We are now going to make this a much better site! Follow up on the site and let's talk some great football for years to come.

                                                    Polamalu Talk

This Sunday the Steelers defense lined up without Safety Troy Polamalu. Obviously it showed. You didn't get the big plays you get with Polamalu in there, then today with Polamalu out. A lot of fans, insiders, and other sources are not expecting to see Polamalu for the rest of the regular season. Polamalu who re-injured his achilles. Give Polamalu the remaining of the season to rest up for the playoffs. Even though the Steelers lost a close match up against the Jets, they clinched a playoff birth. The Steelers remaining schedule is the Panthers and the Browns. I sit Polamalu until the off season.

12 Days of Christmas (7)

7th Day of Christmas: Tebow gets to start...

The Tim Tebow era has begun in Denver. Broncos fans are happy for this move. I am happy for Tebow. I hope that he make the best of this opportunity to lead the Broncos for years to come. Now the Broncos mathematically eliminated from making the playoffs, it gives Tebow a few games experience in his rookie season. Give him some experience now, and he learns game speed, what you can and can not do on the professional level. Hopefully this move for the Broncos will help them. I know Broncos fans are ready for Tebow, now let's see if Tebow is ready. I am sure he is. Tebow is a great competitor.

Week 15 on the Gridiron

Hello everyone, I hope you guys are all well, and are enjoying the site. Lets get to some picks.

Jaguars @ Colts. This is a huge game for both teams. If the Jaguars walk away with this one, they will win the division for the first time. The Jaguars with a nice (8-5) record can win the division against the Colts who have struggled this season. Peyton Manning will be ready in this game. He knows that he will need to win this game to come back in the division. The Jaguars will defiantly be running the ball in this game and both teams know this. Jones-Drew will will get a big bulk of the carries, and the Colts will need to stop him if they want to see a victory today. I think this will be a hard hitting game, for two teams that don't like each other very much. Don't overlook QB David Garrard. He has had one of his better seasons at quarterback. My Pick= Colts

Eagles @ Giants. This will be a nice game to watch, if you like these two teams or if you don't. Last time these two teams played it was a good prime time game that ended in the Eagles walking away with the victory. A little fact for you guys, the Giants defense has injured 6 quarterbacks this year. Want a couple of names? Well, the Giants have injured Cutler, Romo, and Travaris Jackson to just name a couple. Tony Romo and Travaris Jackson both were placed on IR. Today the Giants have Mike Vick. A quarterback that don't slide. That could be a plus for the Giants. If the Giants can keep a hold of Vick, then the Giants have a huge chance to win this match up. Vick is the biggest weapon. Vick is the one that will hurt you the most. Eli Manning has thrown 19 interceptions, the most in the NFL. Today expect a lot of running the ball by the Giants. Bradshaw and Jacobs will be ready, and need to play inspired out there on the field. What a game this will be! My Pick= Giants

Jets @ Steelers. A very big game this is. Both teams always play each other tough. First topic about this game you hear is the Steelers former WR Santonio Holmes going up against the Steelers. Holmes was traded during the off-season. A lot of people are saying that this will help the Jets. In some ways it may, but the Steelers aren't the type of defense that you will generate offense on. Troy Polamalu will not be active during this game. Polamalu has re-injured his ankle. The Steelers are a tough defense without Polamalu. I know Troy is one of the best, if not the best safety in the league, but the Steelers have another safety that I think will be making plays today. His name is Ryan Mundy. Today is Mundy's time to shine with Polamalu out. I think he will be ready, and don't forget Ryan Clark the free safety. Clark is having one of his best seasons of his career. Running the ball for the Jets is critical. Can they run the ball? You have Casey Hampton, James Farrior, LaMarr Woodley, James Harrison, and maybe one of the best future middle line-backers in Lawrence Timmons. Now on the Jets defense you have a lot of name as well. You have Darelle Revis, Bart Scott, Calvin Pace. A defensive battle going on in Pittsburgh today. I like the match up. The Jets offense has been struggling very badly, and I see that same thing happening today. My Pick= Steelers

Wow, those are some great games, and it seems like when you talk about them, you just get carried away with it. Well I hope that you enjoy the games this Sunday guys. Bye!

12 Days of Christmas (8)

8th Day of Christmas: Favre was Playing...

Well news soaring around that Brett Favre will be active against the Bears, and that rumor is in fact true. Favre will start. Back up QB Travaris Jackson has been put in Injured Reserve. Well now that the Vikings can not make it to the playoffs now I guess it doesn't effect them too bad. Much sad news for many fans to see Favre's streak end lat week at Ford Field, but he will play Monday Night.11/18/10

12 Days of Christmas (9)

9th Day of Christmas: Teams still fighting...

As the season is coming close to an end, I think the amount of teams still in this picture is amazing. Only nine teams in the entire NFL have no chance in making it to the playoffs. On the other hand, there are several teams, that if they play hard and focus, that they have a chance to squeak into the playoffs. They need a lot of things to fall into their direction, but still has a chance. If the season ended today the Buccaneers and the Packers would not be in, but they have an 8-5 record. Other teams, on both AFC and NFC, that are still in the race are the Chargers, Colts, Dolphins, Raiders, Texans, Titans, 49ers, Seahawks, and the Cardinals. Now unfortunately you will see a lot of these teams drop in the next week or two, but who knows who can make it. It is Christmas right? Just look at the NFC West. All four teams have a chance to make it, but the best record is 6-7. Add your thoughts and opinions on this very topic here on the Hotline with a simple comment. Leave one at the bottom of this post!

12 Days of Christmas (10)

10th Day of Christmas: Jets are crashing...

Jets Fans might be a little worried about their team this year. A team that had high hopes on going to the Superbowl this year, haven't looked very good in the past couple of weeks. Now have lost two in a row. Did not get a touchdown in either one of those games. The last touchdown the Jets have scored was in the 4th Quarter in Week 12 off of a 89 yard kickoff return by Brad Smith. The offense has not been rolling, and they only have a couple more weeks to turn it around, and focus on the playoffs. The Jets are still 9-4, but with a tough team like the Steelers coming in, will the playoffs slip right through their hands? As of 12/1610
-And for a comedy side of it, their strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi has been suspended indefinitely after ordering five inactive players to form a line, as he would trip Dolphins Nolan Carroll. Here is that Video:

Week 14 on the Gridiron

Well everyone it is that time again. Time to pick the best games this weekend and who's going to win! I hope you will spread the word about the Hotline and share in all of the fun that we have here! Let's get it started!

Think the showdown this week is the Patriots @ Bears. I think most are picking the Patriots to walk away with this one, but don't overlook this game. That is why I like the Bears in this game. Bears showed that they could stop the very powerful Eagles offense. That defense of the Bears can stop Brady in my opinion. The Patriots don't have that deep threat Randy Moss anymore, so if the Bears can stop these short passes to Welker and Woodhead, then the Patriots offense will slow down a little. Still have to get into Brady's face and force him to get rid of the ball, which seems like is impossible right now. Jay Cutler needs to be sharp, make the right decisions, and get it to his targets. Matt Forte needs to run/catch the ball as well. He is a very good weapon and you will need to use him. The Patriots Defense is not very strong. Ranked very low in many categories. If the Patriots want to get the win this week then they need to execute their game plan. Do the same kind of thing they have been doing lately, because it is working. Brady has been very solid, and may be looking at a MVP award after the season. What a great match up this Sunday. Think I need to go with that tough Bears Defense! My Pick= Bears

Buccaneers @ Redskins. Well this game might not be on everyone's radar, but it will be interesting to see how both of these two teams will do after being on a not very good streak lately. Buccaneers have lost their past two, and the Redskins have lost four of their last five games. Both teams are looking to bounce back. Who will may be up for grabs. The Redskins season has been disappointing, and it may continue the same this Sunday. The Buccaneers have had a dramatic change this season from last year. The success will continue I think with this young team. Josh Freeman will need to find his targets and complete his passes. The Redskins will need to come out and take charge early if they want to win this game. Chris Cooley can have have a good game if McNabb finds him, but you don't want to keep the Buccaneers hanging around, because they will make something happen. Should be a great game! My Pick= Buccaneers

Chiefs @ Chargers. Well if you like offense, then tune in this Sunday to watch the Chiefs play the Chargers. I like this match up. The first couple names I think about with these two teams are Jamaal Charles and Phillip Rivers. I like the Chiefs in this match up. Chargers defense will struggle to stop this very good running attack. Jamaal Charles may just have a great performance, and will lead the Chiefs to a victory. Phillip Rivers will need to connect with his Wide Receivers like Malcolm Floyd and Antonio Gates if they want to win this game. The Victory may go to the team that plays the best defense. Which may be very little. What a great game I think this will be. My Pick= Chiefs

Well guys, it has been fun, make sure you spread the word. Get some conversation going here on the Hotline. That is my goal, for you to keep checking in, and to make this one of your favorite sites!

Then Last week I put up a new poll asking who would win out of those two teams. The fans have voted, and voted the Saints. My Question now is are they your final answer? Question of the Day [0.5]

   Question of the Day:

Is Troy Polamalu the best Safety in Football?

Hey guys, hope you guys are liking the question of the day. Remember to answer all of the ones you can. This should be a good one. Troy is so consistent. I think he is. Ed Reed is good, anytime he can catch the ball, it is going back for six, but I think Troy is more consistent. Has had injuries, and has bounced back every time. What do you think?

Week 13 on the Gridiron

Hello everyone, I hope all is well. Le's get to some picks!

The first game that looks to be good is Browns @ Dolphins. This game will be even more interesting because QB Jake Delhomme will be getting his second start in a row because of the Colt McCoy injury. Which I think is an advantage to the Dolphins. The Browns will need to run Peyton Hillis several times to take control of this game. The Dolphins defense will need to stop Hillis if they want to win this game. The Dolphin offense will also need to run the ball several times. Need to get Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams rolling in this game. By time this game is over, I just think that the Dolphins have more weapons. That Browns defense will be on the field for a long time, and I just don't see them holding the Dolphins this week. My Pick= Dolphins

Jets @ Patriots. Man on Monday Night this will be a showdown. I love this match up. Both teams battling for the top spot in the division. Both teams standing at 9-2. The Jets are very good on the road, and lets not forget about that defense. I think they get after QB Tom Brady today. I just don't think the Patriots have the kind of team to play a tough game like this. The Patriots defense, one of the worst in the League, this is probably what we will need to see most in this game is defense. The Patriots will first need to stop Santonio Holmes, who has been rolling, Tomlinson, and Keller. A lot of weapons that can help them win this game. On the Patriots, you have Tom Brady, and maybe that is all you need. Brady has been on fire, and there is talk about how he could win MVP this year. Brady has some weapons in Wes Welker and Branch. Let's not forget the tight ends he uses in Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, they do have a good offense, but I do remember Super Bowl 41, when The Patriots had a very good offense, were undefeated, and were stunned by the Giants, and the Giants got after Brady several times. Forced mistakes,. and defeated the Patriots. I kind of see that same thing happening here. Both teams don't like each other and will show that Monday Night. My Pick= Jets

Steelers @ Ravens. Well if this game doesn't make the hair stand on the top of your head, I don't know what will. Both teams hate each other. Both teams will express that on Sunday Night. Hearing a lot of talk that Ben Roethlisberger's foot will be the reason why they lose this game. The Steelers will not make excuses if they were to lose this game. I see it differently. I see the Steelers completely rolling over the Ravens in this game. The Steelers defense will not let you do what you did last time in Pittsburgh. The defense will make a statement in this game. Now there is the Ravens defense who is also very good, and will try hard to get after Ben, but the Steelers will hand the ball off, and I think that Mendenhall has a decent game today. The Steelers will produce enough offense to win the game today. With Flacco having a good second half of the season, the Steelers will be ready for him. Defensive Coordinator Dick LeBeau will be ready to dial up some great plays on defense. Some blitzes that will get Flacco on the ground. Are we forgetting Ray Rice? Nope, if you think you can run against this defense in this kind of game, you are crazy. Sunday Night is the night that the Steelers will show that they are for real. My Pick= Steelers

Well everybody, I hope you enjoyed my picks, if you didn't tell me about them in a comment at the end of this post. Tell me what other games you like and who will win. Well have a great weekend everyone! BYE!!

Question of the Day [0.4]

Well hello everyone, I think that we have a very good question today. Remember to answer each and every question. Spread the word, and see what other fans have to say about the question!

Is the League Taking this Helmet to Helmet problem too Far?

My answer is YES, somebody said in our last chat here on the Hotline that he is worried that after he has seen a good play, that a flag will be thrown. There has been more and more flags thrown on this issue, a lot of penalties have been called on Steelers LB James Harrison. It seems that every week there is a personal foul on him. I just think there has to be another way around this. Well guys, you know the question, now answer!

Question of the Day [ 0.3]

Hello everyone, it is time for the Question of the Day! I hope you are liking these. Make sure that you answer all of them! Make sure the world knows your opinion! Here we go!

Is Chris Johnson still the best Running Back in the League?

Last year Johnson had over 2,000 yards, picking up the name "CJ2K," and most people would say that he was the best in the League. Now with the season he is having now, obviously he will not get another season like that, but he is not even leading the League. Yes, he is still a consistent back, and very good, but is he the best?

A Look back into History

Hello everybody, it has been a few since we have seen A Look back into History. Last one we seen was the great John Elway! Here is another Quarterback that has had some great years. You may see him on CBS giving his "Phil-osophy." Well here he is in his playing days. Phil Simms.

Is James Harrison a Dirty Player?

James Harrison has had several penalties and fines on him this season. Seems to go back to that Browns game where he put out WR Josh Cribbs and WR Mohamed Massaquoi with two helmet to helmet hits. It may seem like the refs are after him maybe. Since then, Harrison has been fined and penalized several more times. What is your opinion?

Week 12 on the Gridiron

Hey guys, let's get to the Gridiron Picks. Here we go!

The first game that pops out at me is the Packers @ Falcons. Should be a great game. I am looking forward to this one. The Falcons have had a great season so far. Both teams have Pro Bowl caliber Quarterbacks. Which one lights it up the most, could be up for grabs. The running game is a big difference, the Falcons win that obviously. The defense could be the most important part of this match up. Which defense plays the best, may just decide the outcome of this game. I like this match up. Can't wait to see it. My Pick= Packers

Eagles @ Bears. Looks to be another good match up. We all know that Mike Vick has been doing fantastic, and that the Bears have a very good defense. Will Vick take apart another defense? We all know he did great against the Redskins, but of course this is not the the Redskins. The Bears offense needs to get rolling early, and take charge. Just don't see the Bears stopping that Eagles offense for this game. My Pick= Eagles

Buccaneers @ Ravens. Are the Buccaneers the real deal? This game will be the test for them. I like Josh Freeman in this game. He has had a great year, and I don't think he is going to slow down in this game. If Freeman can complete his passes and makes good decisions. On the other side there is Flacco, and he has all of those weapons. If the Buccaneers can beat a physical team like the Ravens then you may want to watch out for this team, because they very well can be the real deal. This will be an interesting one to watch guys. Make sure you watch these games! My Pick= Buccaneers

Okay guys, you know this whole season has been fun, it almost kills me that the season is almost over. Well, let's just enjoy it while we can. Well guys have fun watching the games. Let's talk on the Hotline!

Week 11 on the Gridiron

Hey guy, it is time for the Gridiron Picks. I hope that you guys are all enjoying the site. Let's get started.

Raiders @ Steelers. I think this game deserves to be talked about, because the Raiders are on top of the division. The Steelers are second in theirs. The Raiders have played outstanding this year, leading them to a 5-4 record. The Steelers have lost two out of their last three games. the Steelers have had injuries left and right. So that really makes it sound like it is a closer match up. I have heard from a few Steelers, and they said that they would just like to get that nasty taste out of their mouth. After that Steelers defense got torn apart last week, I think that they will make plays today. Offensively the Steelers need to score. I think it will be interesting to see how much the Steelers use Hines Ward after his concussion last Sunday. Ward's great catching streak ended last week, and I think that they will take it out on someone. On the other side, Jason Campbell needs to complete his passes and has to be smart. Last year we seen the Raiders upset the Steelers, this year is a new story. My Pick= Steelers

Colts @ Patriots. Well I do need to tell you that this game is an eye opener, you already know that. This game of course is getting all of the headlines, but of course it deserves to. I like this match up. Two teams that play each other hard. If the Patriots play the way they played last Sunday Night against the Steelers, then I don't think that this could be a match up. Everybody loves when these two teams battle it out in a great showdown. These two teams are playing well this year. Manning's offense has looked somewhat slow this last couple of weeks. Manning will want to change that this week against a tough opponent like the Patriots. Brady needs to be sharp, complete his passes, and just be smart. The Patriots need to run a lot more this week I think. The Colts are missing Dallas Clark, but they are liking the new guy in there, Jacob Tamme. He has played outstanding. Has more catches in the last three weeks then anyone in the League. I think they continue this. It will be a great game. My Pick= Colts

Giants @ Eagles. Can anyone stop Mike Vick? That is the question, and the Giants will try to see if that is possible Sunday Night. Vick is coming off, probably his best performance in his career. He tore apart the Redskins, showing that he is a good QB. Now the Eagles have a tougher challenge in the Giants defense. The Giants are really missing their Wide out Steve Smith. There is a difference when he is not in there. The Eagles look just too powerful in this mach up. I think the Eagles make a statement against the Giants. If the Giants want to win this game, the pass rushers need to get a hold of Vick, which is a huge task. I don't think they will. Vick shows who's boss Sunday Night. My Pick= Eagles

PFH's Players of the Week

Hello everyone. Who are the Pro Football Hotline Players of the Week? Well you are about to find out right now.

The PFH Offensive Player of the Week is Mike Vick. Vick's performance on Monday Night was outstanding. He had four passing touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns. He was defiantly was a huge factor in the win over the Redskins, and that is why he is the Offensive Player of the Week.

PFH Plays<------ of the Week

Why is there an arrow pointing at Plays. Well it is because normally I show you one play every week that I thought was the craziest and most amazing of the Week. Well in week 10 there was two of them, and they are so good that I couldn't just pick one. Leave a comment at the end of this post telling me which play is better.

Week 10 on the Gridiron

Hello guys, how are you all doing? Can you believe that we are in double digits in football season. This season is going very fast in my opinion. Well like it or not, it is Week 10, and it is time for the Gridiron Picks. Let's take a look at the match ups.

Vikings @ Bears. Both teams need a win in this game, but only one team can come out on top. So the Vikings don't get the best news they wanted this week, Sidney Rice was activated off of the Physically unable to Perform list, but will still not play this week at Chicago. On the other side, the Bears have had a lot of turnovers on the offensive side of the ball. Cutler has been sacked quite a few times and lost the ball. Interceptions come often. It all goes down to that offensive line though. At times Cutler doesn't have time to get rid of the ball. If the Vikings pressure Cutler, I see much of the same luck happening. I like Favre this week to find two wins in a row, but I have said this before, and it hasn't happened. Against the Bills, the Bears defense somewhat struggled. 3rd downs I seen the Bills pick them a lot. My Pick= Vikings

Titans @ Dolphins. This can be a very good game, but with QB problems for the Dolphins, it might not be as good of a match up. Now that the Titans have a new weapon in Randy Moss, now this match up might be even more spread apart. The Titans  Defense has looked good all season long, and should be able to stop the Dolphins defense. I am liking this game, it shouldn't be that close though. My Pick= Titans

Patriots @ Steelers. This game is looking to be a good match up on Sunday Night. Steelers have had injuries left and right, and it has effected the team. All five starting offensive linemen have been injured at some point this season. On defense, the Aaron Smith injury has effected them very much as well. The Patriots are coming off a loss against the Browns. The game wasn't very close, the Browns came out early and just dominated. Peyton Hillis had 184 rushing yards. If the Steelers give the ball to Mendenhall, I think that the Steelers can have this game as well. Mendenhall should have a huge game, and the Steelers defense is going to try to get a few turnovers. My Pick= Steelers

Well guys, I hope you like picks. It has been fun, remember to leave comments.

PFH Players of the Week

Clay Matthews is PFH's Defensive Player of the Week. He deserves this. Has had a great year, and did the same thing Sunday night. Take a look at this nice play he pulled of against the Cowboys.

PFH's Players of the Week

Hello guys, I hope you guys are doing good. Well, let's get started.

The PFH Offensive Player of the Week is Peyton Hillis. Hillis had a great week. 184 yards rushing, with 2 rushing touchdowns. Pounding against the Patriots, stunning them, to get the big victory. Hillis is having a great season, and playing very hard nosed, Therefor he deserves PFH's Offensive Player of the Week.

Week 9 on the Gridiron

Hey guys, it is so hard to believe that it is week 9 already. Well as you know what we do here, and if this is your first time on the Hotline, I pick the games I am looking most forward to seeing this weekend, and you are more than welcome to leave your comments, favorite match-ups, and who is going to win, right in the comment box under this post.

Okay, I think that the first game that I will pick is the Buccaneers @ Falcons. This game will be a playoff atmosphere game for the Buccaneers. They know that this is a game that they need to win, if they think they are the best in the N.F.C. Matt Ryan is 16-1 at home, and really feeds off of the home crowd in Atlanta, and if Michael Turner gets going, watch out. On the other side, Josh Freeman is playing so well for as young as he is. Being his second year, he looks more experienced than that. If Freeman can drive the ball in the dome, then it might be a closer game than you may think. My Pick= Falcons

Dolphins @ Ravens. This game will spark your interest. I like the match-up a lot. The Dolphins have not lost on the road this year, and it might just continue for them. Joe Flacco having is having a decent season, after a somewhat struggling early part of the season. The Dolphins offense, on the other hand is looking very well. If the Dolphins can get the passing game going, getting it to his receivers like Brandon Marshall, and Bess, then their chances will be better. The Ravens then have to worry about the good Dolphins running game. The Ravens are at home, the fans will be loud, and Flacco needs to hit his weapons. The Ravens have had close games with the Steelers, who didn't have their starting QB at the time, and the Bills, who have not had a win yet this season. The Dolphins are better than those two match-up I would say, and I don't think the Ravens are going to poll away with this one. My Pick= Dolphins

Chargers @ Texans. Another match-up that will spark your interest. If the Texans will run the ball, there is no doubt that I think the Texans win, but I think the Texans are not running the ball enough with Arian Foster. This guy is truly electrifying. The Chargers need to take charge in this game, and get on the board fast. Phillip Rivers, is having a very good year, needs to have another game this weekend. The Texans need to play better defense. It is a nice match-up, and who knows what will really happen, that is what's so great about it. Watch to find out! My Pick= Texans

Chiefs @ Raiders. This is a game that is defiantly worth talking about. Loving the way both teams have played. The Chiefs have the first rank in rushing yards per game, and the Raiders have the second ranked rushing yards per game. So maybe you would say that who has the best rushing game will win? Well maybe that is true, but I think that more things are needed than that. The Raiders defense, in my opinion, is better, and might cause some turnovers. Matt Cassel probably wins in the passing game. The running backs match-ups are about the same, when you have Darren McFadden and Michael Bush, an the Chiefs have Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones. Both teams are really rolling right now, and I am very interested to see this match-up today. My Pick= Raiders

Well guys, it has been fun like always, I hope you read the Gridiron Picks, and leave your comments. Have a great weekend guys, bye!

Week 8 on the Gridiron

Hey guys, how is everyone. I hope that you are enjoying the site. Are you guys ready for some Halloween Football this Sunday? Lets get to the picks!

Alright, first game that I am going to pick is the Texans vs. Colts. Last time these two teams met the Texans won by the legs of Arian Foster. Will that happen again? Foster rushed for over 200 yards. Will the Colts' defense put a stop to Foster? While on the other side of ball, the Colts' running backs are banged up. Donald Brown sounds like will be the starter for the Colts. I think that Mike Hart will help Brown out with the workload. Joseph Addai sounds like he won't be active. The Colts know that this is a huge game for them, and they know that they can't afford to lose another division game. Dallas Clark, out for season, really hurts, and so does Austin Collie, not being active today, that takes away two big targets for Manning. I am interested to see who wins the division match up. My Pick=Colts

Dolphins vs. Bengals. Anyone like this game? I think that the Dolphins are going to come out strong this game, against a Bengals team that is really struggling. The Bengals are not having the season that they had hoped for, and it starts at QB with Caron Palmer. Defiantly not the kind of season many people were expecting. Cedric Benson's number have decreased from last year. On the other side you have a strong, tough, hard nosed Dolphins team. This team really showed how hard they could fight last week against the Steelers, and I loved the way they played. Bess is a great receiver, and if they can get their two backs going, I don't see the Bengals able to hold on. The Dolphins are looking good this year, and need to find a way to stay on a winning streak. My Pick=Dolphins

Steelers vs. Saints. Well this is the Halloween showdown. I love the way this match up looks. I see it will probably work out that way. A little fact for you, there are a lot of Steelers from the area, and are very happy to play there. They are pumped to play in front of their friends and family. Steelers like Ryan Clark, Ike Taylor, and there are a few more. The Saints have just suffered a loss by the Browns, and now the Saints playing the Browns division rivals, will the defending champs put a stop to the Steelers? Ben Roethlisberger needs to make nice, clean drives, after a quite sloppy outing last week against the Dolphins. Roethlisberger had three fumbles, counting the one when he dove, and the ball was knocked out. Mike Wallace will be going long a few times this game, and he is going to get a touchdown. Heath Miller needs to have a better outing, and he can against the Saints. With the Steelers' defense banged up, how will that help the Saints offense do. one thing that is hurting, is the loss of Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas at running back. Chris Ivory defiantly can not fill in the role of those two players. Aaron Smith is a huge loss, but I still don't see that Steelers defense breaking. My Pick= Steelers

Well guys, I hope you have fun watching the games. I hope you get to watch some of the games before you have to take the kids out for candy. Have a great weekend, and take care!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Hello guys. Glad to see all of the looks that I am getting. Well take a little look at this post. They are your Players of the Week.

The PFH Player of the Week is Roddy White. What a great Sunday Roddy White had. Having a great year this guy is, and this past Sunday wasn't any different. White with 201 receiving yards and 2 touchdown. Had a great catch that ended in a 43 yard touchdown.

Head Coaches on the Hot Seat

Hello guys. I hope you guys are all doing good. Here is a good post that I decided to make, talking about all of the Head Coaches that may be on the "Hot Seat."

The first coach that may be the fastest one on his way out is Dallas Cowboys' Head Coach Wade Phillips. Wade Phillips and the Dallas Cowboys had very high expectations this year to go to the Superbowl. Now that the Cowboys have a record 1-5, it doesn't look like those expectations are going to come true. Especially with Tony Romo going to be out for quite a few weeks, if not out for the season, with a broken clavicle. Will Jerry Jones say that is enough of Wade Phillips? Will Phillips get fired before the season even ends? It kind of makes me think that why were the Cowboys' expectations this high? Do you think that they were way overrated? Wade Phillips has a great mind for football, but will that be enough for Jerry Jones to keep him? Wade Phillips is defiantly on the hot seat in my opinion.

Another coach maybe on the track to getting his headset taken away from him is

So now I am going to switch it up a little.  Let's look at a Quarterback. John Elway. What a gamer this guy was. Left everything on the field. PFH's Players of the Week & DUD of the Week

Hello everybody. I hope you guys are enjoying the Hotline. I hope you guys join the chat tomorrow at 4:00 P.M. Lets look at the Players of the week.

The Offensive Player of the Week is Kevin Kolb. This guy had a great week, and i am happy for him. Completing 23 out of 29 passes for 326 yards, and 3 passing touchdowns. Now, Andy Reid, who do you start?

The Defensive Player of the Week is Lawrence Timmons. Once again this year, Lawrence Timmons has a great game at linebacker. Getting 9 tackles, 2 sacks, and an interception. He has had a great season so far, and he just keeps rolling. This Steelers defense is looking very good.

The DUD of the Week is Michael Turner. Turner only having 45 rushing yards on 15 carries. Turner only has one rushing touchdown this season, and I hope this changes. He is a great player, but unfortinatley he is our DUD of the Week.

Okay guys, join my chat tomorrow. Bye guys.

Week 6 on the Gridiron

Hey guys. How have you been? I hope very well. Well let's get to the games, and of course my picks.

Alright, my first game is the Ravens vs. Patriots. Man, this is going to be a good game. When I think of this game I think of Ray Rice. Kind of like when he played the Patriots last year in the postseason. We all know that Ray Rice tore up the Patriots defense. The Patriots defense scares me. I don't think that I can trust them. Ray Rice should have a monster game against the Patriots. If Joe Flacco gets the ball out of his hands quickly, and is accurate, kind of like when the Ravens played the Steelers, then I don't see Tom Brady and the Patriots winning this game. My Pick= Ravens

My next game that I think will be good is the Saints vs. Buccaneers. I was so happy to find out that I picked the Buccaneers last week to beat the Bengals and they did. Now this is kind of like the same situation as last week for the Buccaneers. If the Buccaneers play hard, they really can win today against a team that has been struggling. I think that one of these games, the Saints are going to show that they are the champs, and really explode on a team. Josh Freeman has been playing very well, as is Mike Williams. This is a very hard pick. Harder than people may think. My Pick= Saints

The Cowboys vs. Vikings is a game that I really want to see. Watch this game slowly. Really get a feel for this game. This game for both teams will show you how the rest of the season will go for each team. This game will build confidence for whoever wins today, and will bring a lot more wins. Whoever loses will be sitting watching from behind, because they just don't have it this year. With the addition of Randy Moss is key foe the Vikings right now. I think it will help this game. The Cowboys have to get Miles Austin rolling in this game. I love this match up, and if you don't get pumped about this game, you must be crazy. My Pick= Vikings

Colts vs Redskins. I like this game, but I think Peyton Manning will explode after a slow game last week. If the Redskins can carry a shoot out, then maybe they might have a shot in this game. I like the Colts in this game because of that reason. Both defenses have work that needs to get done this game. The Redskins have to get in Manning's face if they want to win, but Collie, Garcon, Clark, and Wayne are hungry. They are ready to explode, if the defense is ready or not. My Pick = Colts

Okay guys, have a great time watching the games this weekend. I love doing this post. Comment on what games you like this weekend. Tell me what you think about you picks. We all love football so lets talk about it!

PFH's Defensive Player of the Week- Antoine Bethea

PFH's Offensive Player of the Week- Matt Forte

PFH's Players of the Week & DUD of the Week

Hey everybody it's time for the Players of the Week. Week 5 there was many people who could of been picked, but let's see who won.

Okay, PFH's Offensive Player of the Week is Matt Forte. Forte had a monster week against the Panthers. Rushing for 166 rushing yards. Forte breaking two rushing touchdowns, his longest run went for 68 yards for a touchdown. Forte is looking very good this season, and deserves this honor.

The PFH"s Defensive Player of the Week is Antoine Bethea. Had a very good game, with a defense in my opinion beat down. With all of the DB problems, Bethea knew he had to step up the game. Finished with 7 tackles, and a forced fumble.

Now your DUD of the Week. Really I have to say Matt Schaub. After a great year last year, the Texans passing game is not making noise. Schaub had 196 passing yards, 1 fumble, and threw an interception. Schaub did not throw a touchdown in their loss against the Giants. Okay guys. Might put some highlights on here. Stay here!

Week 5 on the Gridiron

Hey guys, I know how you guys all love the week on the gridiron, so let's do it again, only this time leave comments/ questions about the post. Okay guys lets do this!

The first game, we will talk about is the Buccaneers vs. Bengals. This game is going to be a good one. The Buccaneers were 2-0 be fore they played the hard Steelers defense. Now they are playing a little softer Bengals defense. I am not saying the Bengals defense is soft, but not as hard as the Steelers' defense. I can see Josh Freeman winning this game, I really can, but Palmer has all of those weapons on the offense, that I don't know if the Buccaneers can stop because of the way they played against the Steelers. Letting Mike Wallace get two touchdowns, thrown by Charlie Batch. Carson Palmer has not been playing his best football, and Josh Freeman is, so for that reason this is my pick. My Pick= Buccaneers

Broncos vs. Ravens. I like this game a lot. Makes me think that the Broncos have a chance to win this thing, if Kyle Orton keeps doing what he has been doing. Throwing for over1,400 yards in four games. It makes me wonder if Orton can have another monster game without Ed Reed there to say otherwise. The Ravens had a clean game against Pittsburgh last week, but overall I wasn't overly impressed with the Raven's performance last week in Pittsburgh. Kyle Orton is another QB playing his best football, but that Broncos defense is not the strongest. This game will go down to the last couple of minutes before it is decided, I believe. It can go either way. Both teams got a big win last week, but who will come out on top in Baltimore? Knowshon Moreno is out with a hamstring. My Pick= Ravens

Titans vs. Cowboys. This game should be good too. Sounds like the teams are about the same overall besides Chris Johnson and Vince Young. This is a very good match up. Do you think this will be a close game? I don't. If the Broncos beat the Titans, I believe the Cowboys can beat the Titans with ease. As long as the Cowboys can stop Chris Johnson, and Vince form scrambling, it should be a W for the Titans. Who really knows though. It could be the Titans completely dominating the Boys today. It should be a good one to watch. My Pick= Cowboys

Alright everybody, you know it is always fun talking football here on the hotline, but that is a wrap for this post. Later this week, I think I am going to do something to get all of your guys' opinion about football. I think you guys will like it. Hope you keep checking the site. Bye guys, have a great time watching the sport we all love. Bye!

Don't let the Expiration Date Fool You

Don't let the expiration date fool you. Have you ever heard that saying before? What do you think about when you hear the saying? A gallon of milk? Some eggs maybe sitting in the fridge too long? This lesson along with many other lessons have been passed down to me from people that taught me a lot, and I thank them for doing so.

Don't let the expiration date fool you NFL. Too many times are people characterized in the NFL because of their age. Well he has done a good job for many years now, and someone young could come in now and do a better job. Yes maybe that's true in some cases, and maybe a lot of cases, but never in all cases. Lets look to see some of the players who didn't let the expiration date fool them.

NFL Breast Cancer Awareness

The NFL is determined to fight breast cancer. Many players are commited to fight this. Players, coaches, and referees are wearing pink game apparel to support the cause, when the month is over they will sell the apparel like chinstraps, gloves, cleats, and K balls. Benefitting the American Cancer Society. The NFL is doing a great thing here, I think we all can agree, so break out your pink, even you guys. It's only for a month. OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH! Find ways to reduce this disease.

Week 3 Recap

Now that Week 3 is over, lets recap on what we seen this past weekend.

The first game that I would like to talk about is the Cowboys vs. Texans. The Dallas Cowboys made a statement that they could not be pushed over, by a team that really had everything good going for them. I really like how the Cowboys played this game. They showed that they could pass the ball, as well as run the ball. The Cowboys showed that they wanted this game more. Winning the game 27-13, it was a nice way to win right before the bye week. As for the Texans, they need a win against the Raiders in Week 4. DeMarcus Ware having 3 sacks, and Roy Williams had 2 receiving touchdowns.

The big Monday Night Football game was a very good game. I am sorry if you missed it. Two quarterbacks, that have been doing very well this year, played very well in this game too. Aaron Rodgers was making some nice, tight throws. Racking up 316 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, 1 rushing touchdown, and 1 interception. He played very well as always in this close game. Cutler played very well too. With 221 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and 1 interception. This game goes down to the last eight seconds, as Robbie Gould booted a chip shot to win the game. Cutler has led the Bears to the best record in the N.F.C. Being the only team in the N.F.C. that is 3-0. Devin Hester having a big punt return in this game for a touchdown, that would help late in the Bears win.

I was so close to picking the Falcons to beat the Saints this week, but I thought to myself that it isn't smart to go against the Superbowl champs. So I took the Saints, and boy was I wrong. The Falcons showed that they can beat the Superbowl champs. Watch out for this team, let me tell you. The Falcons stayed in there with a good Saints offense, and the Falcons showed that they had a better kicker. I say this because Saints kicker Garrett Hartley missed a quite easy field goal in overtime. Matt Ryan passed for 228, and had 2 passing touchdowns. A very good outing for him. Being the defending champs, everyone is trying to hit you where it hurts, and the Falcons were the first ones to do it. We will see if the Saints bounce back against the Panthers in Week 4.

Well here are a few games that were very good this past weekend, I hope you thought they were too, but if you didn't tell me about it. Tell me which games you liked, and which ones you didn't. So that means to COMMENT!

PFH's Players of the Week & DUD of the Week

Okay everybody, I hope you enjoyed the football games this past season. Now who was the PFH's Players of the Week you ask? Well lets just find that out right now.
Offense first! PFH's Offensive Player of the Week is Austin Collie. Collie did way too much not to get recognized as one of the top performers of this week. With Garcon and Gonzalez out, Austin Collie knew that he needed to step it up, and he did just that. Look at his highllights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uycamcCww0Y These are highlights of the whole game, but look at the plays Collie makes.

Now defense, PFH's Defensive Player of the week is DeMarcus Ware. Ware had a good week for Dallas. Had three sacks and five tackles for losses. He made sure that his presence was known as the Cowboys defeated the Texans. No highlights on him at this point. Maybe there can be some later.

Okay guys now for the PFH's DUD of the week is Eddie Royal. Royal has been doing good this week, but this past week was not what I wanted to see from him. The Broncos need a wepon like Royal, and he was no where to be found on Sunday. As Royal only racked up 23 recieving yards.

Here are the Players of the Week, and of course your DUD of the week. I hope you like!

Players to watch for in Week 3

Here are some people that I think that will have a good game this weekend.

             1.Troy Polamalu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvSHioeVEhI (Playing Buccaneers)

             2.Frank Gore http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujL1iz-_DIM       (Playing Chiefs)

             3.Chris Johnson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL6yBbKp5oQ (Playing Giants)

             4.Ray Rice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8K7MbVkukM      (Playing Browns)

             5.Jay Cutler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK22yJOZANw     (Playing Packers)

Week 3 on the Gridiron

Hey everybody, I hope you have enjoyed my recent posts. I hope you know anyone can leave comments so leave comments and ask any football question that you may have, and I will be more than happy to answer them, okay thanks. Now lets talk some week 3 NFL Football!

Now last week my picks were okay, but definitely not as good as I wanted them to be, so I plan on redeeming myself here in week3. The first game that I am keeping my eye on is the Titans vs. Giants game. This game is gonna be close I think, if the Giants can hold Chris Johnson from having a gigantic game. Now will they hold him like the Steelers held him last week? No, I know for a fact Chris Johnson is going to have his game face on tommorow after being held under 40 yards last week against the Steelers. Now the Giants have a reason to come out swinging too. Suffering an embarrasing loss to the Colts last week, the Giants are going to try to steal one back. The defense couldn't stop the running game with Joseph Addia and Donald Brown carving through that defense, so how are they suppose to stop Chris Johnson. If the Titans play good defense, and  get after Eli, and rush him out of the pocket along with a few good hits on him, there shouldn't be a reason why the Titans lose this game. My Pick = Titans

I like the Falcons vs Saints game. This game got a lot more interesting with the game the Saints played last week. Letting Alex Smith take his 49ers offense all the way down the feild for a late touchdown. Now the Saints still won that game on the last drive with a game winning feild goal, but that is the only thing that scares me about this game, is the Saints ability to get down the feild quick without making any mistakes and get points. If the Falcons can execute a better game plan than the 49ers, then the final score could have the Saints losing their first game. Matt Ryan is obviously a better QB than Alex Smith, I think anyone would agree, so the Saints could have more trouble on defense. Turner had an injury last week, I hear that he will still be starting for the Falcons, so that is big for them. They need to execute on the running gamme, kind of like the 49ers were doing last week with Frank Gore. Roddy White is having a big year so far, it will be nice to see if that continues. Both teams have targets that they can throw to, but I think the Saints have more. It's hard to go against the Superbowl Champs. My Pick = Saints

The Cowboys vs. Texans game is looking to be quite the match up. I like the situation both teams are in, it makes the game more important to both teams. With the Cowboys in a dieing need for a win (0-2), the Texans are (2-0). The Cowboys had so many expectations on making it to a superbowl this year, after winning one playoff game against the Eagles last year, and that the superbowl is being held at the Cowboys home feild, now it looks like the Cowboys are being left behind. The Texans situation is a lot more sweeter, but still has a lot of pressure for the Texans. The Texans are sitting on top of their division, after beating the Colts in week 1 (second win against Colts in team history), and coming back against the Redskins, and beating them in overtime. One win above everyone in their division, the Texans need to focus on winning in week 3.  They do not want to get into that kind of game with Peyton Manning to see who will win the division. Stay in front of the Colts, and don't look back. It is time for Tony Romo to be a leader for this football team. When you are a Quarterback in the NFL, sometimes you have to put the team on your shoulders, and it's now or never for Romo. He needs to show everyone that he can do it. I dont't know when that first win will come for the Cowboys, but it won't be this week. My Pick = Texans

I can't wait to see the Packers vs. Bears game. Both teams are 2-0, and are looking good at this point. A rivalry between these two teams that has been going on for years now. This is a battle to be at the top of the division (as the Vikings and Lions hang behind both 0-2), both teams will be dialing up the pass I'm sure. Both quarterbacks are having a good season at this point. Aaron Rodgers putting passes on the money (as expected), but Jay Cutler has been doing the same for the Bears. Cutler has spread the ball around very well in Mike Martz's system, but from the looks of it, he like to pass it to his running back Matt Forte. It reminds me of the system Martz ran with Marshall Faulk in St. Louis. This can be a shoot out, but then again you can look at the defensive side of the ball for both teams. Both teams have one heck of a pass rusher. The Bears' Julius Peppers, everyone knows that he will make every tackle and quarterback he faces miserable, but if you look at the Packers defense, you will see this guy with long blond hair always making plays, called by the name Clay Mattews. Comes from a football family for sure, and he is making o-lines look bad. This guy for sure right now, is one of the uprising stars in the league on defense. It gets me pumped just thinking about how good this game is going to be! My Pick = Packers

A low-scoring game that I am going to pick is the Steelers vs. Buccaneers. Yes, it will be a low-scoring game I am predicting. With Charlie Batch starting at quarterback for the Steelers, I don't see him lighting up the score board. If Mendenhall can get rolling on the carries he will be getting, then it will make it that much easier for Batch. Josh Freeman is looking very good for the Buccaneers, big reason why they are 2-0, but I don't see him doing a whole lot against that Steelers defense. I mean this defense is that good, might be the best I have ever seen them. Polamalu is flying around everywhere on that defense, James Harrison coming off a monster game against the Titans, Lamarr Woodley was making plays including an interception, and Timmons has been a tackling machine, and don't forget that they held Chris Johnson to UNDER 40 YARDS RUSHING last week! Mike Willams has looked good for Tampa Bay at wide reciever, Cadilac Willams not looking bad either, but I don't see them having a good game against that Steelers defense. My Pick = Steelers

Well I hope you like my picks, hey if you don't tell me about it, leave a comment. Ask questions, tell me what games you are looking forward to watching. Have a great time this weekend watching the games!

PFH's Players of the Week & DUDS of the Week

Hey guys, this is the first week of PFH's Players & DUDS of the Week. I will do this every week.

PFH's Offensive Player of the Week is Jahvid Best. Jahvid Best had a monster week against the Eagles defense. With 78 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns (14,2)  & 154 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown(75). Here is a great play that he made last Sunday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn5oMhjAghs PFH's Defensive Player of the Week is Lamarr Woodley.  Woodley was a hard pick, because there was a few people on this defense that could have deserved the same honor. Well this is one good reason why I picked Lamarr Woodley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXOludGK_bo. This guy is one reason why that Steelers defense rolls like it does.

PFH's Offensive DUD of the Week is Vince Young. With only 66 passing yards, 2 passing interceptions, and a fumble, Young couldn't get anything done against that stingy Steelers defense. Take a look at this punishing hit given to Vince Young http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5Qw0Rvc1wk&feature=related Young ended up getting benched late in the second half. PFH's Defensive DUD of the Week is HEAR ME DARRELLE REVIS! What a slouch that Randy Moss is. What a slouch Revis was when he sat out that entire offseason and got beat by Randy Moss on this graet catch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2gM-op5sUU Yeah Revis has a hammy, but don't call Randy Moss a slouch, you never know when he will come back to bite you!

Lets do this again next week guys, comment and leave your questions!!

Week 2 in the books!

Now that all of the great games from this past weekend are over, lets recap!

The Steelers-Titans game was a very good game. Temperatures at game time were very hot, but that didn't stop the Steelers from playing great defense against Chris Johnson and the Titans. Holding Chris Johnson under 40 yards the Steelers defense helped prevail over the Titans. This play from Polamalu is the PFH's Defensive play of the Week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DyzASDVpwU Now here are a few videos of the Steelers-Titans game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALKq43Lhqz0 & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryn_HkHGh5c

The Redskins-Texans game was another good game. Early in the game, it looked liked the Redskins had the game, but they let the Texans hang in there and let them get the victory in overtime. Look at this great catch by Andre Johnson in the end zone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdC8U_AIjS8 Matt Schaub lead his team back, both quarterbacks did good. Look at the highlights if you missed it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuFUHHBOkXA Andre Johnson has PFH's Offensive Play of the Week.

Like I said in my first post, the Lions-Eagles game was a very good game. Mike Vick showing that he has what it takes to still be an NFL Quarterback. On the other side Jahvid Best showed that he can be a very good running back in this league. Both teams scoring in bunches as the Eagles just got the win. look at this great play by Lions running back Jahvid Best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn5oMhjAghs Here are the highlights if you missed the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0rjAlVMGTM

Here are a few games that I liked this past weekend. I hope you enjoy this new post! Look at my new post of PFH's Offensive Player of the Week & Defensive Player of the Week! Also PFH's Offensive DUD of the Week & Defensive DUD of the Week!

Week 2 on the Gridiron

There are some great games this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing a few of them. Lets take a look at some games, and I will express my opinion on what I would like to see this week.

The first game that I want to see this week is the Steelers vs. Titans. I think that it is gonna be a close game with Dennis Dixon at Qb for the Steelers. Now if Ben is starting, then I say the Steelers have a bigger chance of winning. My pick to win this game is the Steelers. Now I know a lot of people are picking the Titans after their very good performance against the Raiders in Week 1 last week. Both teams have a very good battle ahead of them. The Steelers defense has to worry about Chris Johnson. That is the biggest task for the Steelers. If the Steelers defense can stop the run, then they have a huge shot at winning the game. The next task for Pittsburgh is to get a good game plan on offense, and execute. Consistency is a huge thing in this game for both teams. The Titans need Chris Johnson in this game. Last year only having 58 yards against the Steelers in the season opener. Vince Young has to complete his passes. So many things to look for in this game. That is why it is the first on my list. My Pick = Steelers

Another good game that I am gonna have to watch is the Bengals vs. Ravens. Both teams could use a win this week. The Bengals of course are in a bigger need of one, but these two teams like to talk, and I am sure that you have heard there has been talking. Who else would it be then Chad Ochocinco. Chad has been talking about the Ravens defense. Well from what I seen last week, I would keep my mouth shut Chad. The Patriots had a riot against the Bengals last week. I am not saying that the Ravens looked impressive last week either, but they stayed in there playing a tough Jets defense getting the win last week. Both teams need a win so they are gonna do everything that they can do to get one. My Pick = Ravens

How about the Lions vs. Eagles? This should be a good game. Michael Vick getting another chance to start for a team because of the Kevin Kolb concussion. Vick looked impressive last week, for what he did. Passing for over 170 yards and rushing over 100 yards as well, against the Packers. Lets see how Vick will do this game, and it could lead to a Quarterback controversy. On the other side the Lions are furious about last weeks game as well they should be. I think Bears fans will tell you that was a catch. If the Lions really want to show that they are mad, they come out and pounce on the Eagles. With Stafford hurt how will the Lions do in the passing game? Lions defense needs to focus on Vick, and that means stop him. I am from Detroit, but momma didn't raise no dummy! My Pick = Eagles

How about a really tough pick. Colts vs.Giants. This is gonna be a good game as the Manning brothers will have a show down. This game can be a shoot out, but is the Giants offense a type of offense that can have a shoot out? I expect this game to be very close. Peyton will pass for many yards I think, but I don't know if that can make up for how bad that Colts defense looked last week against the Texans. Letting Arian Foster have over 200 rushing yards. If the Giants run the ball with Bradshaw quite a few times, it can lead to the play action, and Eli Manning could have a good game passing as well. Peyton needs to get out and score early if they want to win. Very tough game to pick. My Pick = Giants

Okay guys that is a few things to look for in Week 2. Have a good time watching the games this weekend. Ask questions, leave comments, and tell me what games you are looking forward to seeing, and tell me all of your picks!
