PFH First 2011 Mock Draft (Picks 11-20)

Hey guys, now it is time to look at who I have drafted from picks 11-20. Remember that I will have two more complete first round mock drafts before the NFL Draft.

Texans, 11th Pick - Anthony Castonzo (T), Boston College
I like Castonzo to the Texans. He had a good Senior Bowl, and is a very good talent at the tackle position. I think that the Texans need a guy like this on their line. Castonzo is my top rated tackle. Now I don't have a tackle in the Top 10, and in the draft we are use to seeing a lot of tackles go in the first round, and this is a late start for the tackles. Castonzo has good feet and very powerful.

Vikings, 12th Pick - Jake Locker (QB), Washington
Jake Locker is first on my list for the Vikings. The Vikings need a potential Franchise quarterback, and Locker has all the potential. The Vikings need to make a decision about Travaris Jackson. Whether he will be the starter for the Vikings or do they want to go a different direction. There are questions about Locker's accuracy, so therefor he has a lot to prove. I also think the Vikings might go for a guy like Nate Solder to help out the offensive line.

Lions, 13th Pick - J.J. Watt (DE), Wisconsin
I love J.J. Watt, you watch the guy play back in Wisconsin, he has an unbelievable motor. The Lions are very young at DE, with Cliff Avril and Turk McBride, but Watt is a monster. Gets right through the offensive line and would make this defensive line much better. The Lions have a good young offense, and now it is time to get better on a defense that isn't too bad. If you add J.J. Watt on a defense with Ndamukung Suh and Corey Williams, it is going to become a very good defense. If the Lions don't go with Watt, they should consider Jimmy Smith (CB) or Brandon  Harris (CB). If they go offense, Mark Ingram (RB). If they get one more piece like Ingram to this offense, they will be dangerous.

PFH First 2011 Mock Draft (Picks 1-10)

Hey guys, this is my first Mock Draft of the year. I will be doing two more after this. Today (start of the Combine), During player's pro days, and before the draft will be my final mock draft.  I want all of you fans to talk about who guys are going to get. Let's get started!

Panthers, 1st Pick - Da'Quan Bowers (DE), Clemson
Bowers will only bench at the Combine this week In Indianapolis, and will not participate in any of the positional drills. I don't see Carolina passing up on a big pass rusher like Bowers up. Bowers can even be a pass rushing OLB in the 3-4 scheme. Bowers is extremely athletic, and will become a leader on the defense.

Broncos, 2nd Pick - Nick Fairley (DT), Auburn
Nick Fairely is a big guy thats motor just does not stop. A big guy at 6'5, in around 300 pounds, has the ability to play all positions on the defensive line. Reminds me a lot of Steelers DE Ziggy Hood. Fairley's game against LSU this past year was a great performance and tells you all about him. He has the little speed to get around the edge, and has good strength, just like Ziggy Hood. I would take him second if I was coach John Fox. He can help improve this defense that looked bad in a lot of games last year.

Bills, 3rd Pick- Cam Newton (QB), Auburn
Now Personally, I do not think that Newton should be going quite this high, and it could be a bit of a risk. Cam Newton will need to show that he can stay and wait to find the open receiver. I think the Bills will use Newton in their system. I agree with Mike Mayock from the NFL Network when he said that Newton's BCS performance was sloppy. Newton did pass for 30 touchdowns this past year and ran for 20. Compared to Vince Young but with a better arm. I think if Newton don't go here, he could slide for awhile.

SUPER BOWL on the Gridiron

Hello guys, I can't beleive that this is the last Gridiron Pick of the 2010-2011 NFL season. I hope that all you guys are excited about this game because I surely am. Lets get to my Super Bowl pick!

Steelers vs. Packers. In the biggest game of the year we have these two teams that already have multiple Super Bowl wins. The Steelers are the underdog going into Super Bowl XLV, but this means nothing. In fact I am picking the experience to win the Super Bowl. The Steelers need to get on the board early to get into the Packers' heads. One thing that effects the Steelers very much is that Maurkice Pouncey will not be playing, because of that high ankle sprain that he suffered in the AFC Championship. With or with out Pouncey, the Steelers would need to enforce the running game. They may not be able to do it as effectively, but I think that if the Steelers set up a nice running game early, then that could lead to Ben Roethlisberger having a nice day at quarterback. The Steelers offensive line must give Ben some time, but if we have seen Ben play before, he shows that he can make a play no matter the circumstances. The Steelers defense need to play inspired out there if they want to win. Could this be Defensive Coordinator Dick LeBeau"s last game coaching before he retires. I think that the Steelers defense needs to win it for coach LeBeau.

The Packers must play good defense, because I am afraid that if they don't, the Steelers will have this one wrapped up early. A lot of people see the Steelers as the underdogs, but I see it the other way around. Another advantage the Packers have other than the Pouncey injury is that the Steelers defensive backs have been dinged up all season. Aaron Rodgers must use this as an advantage. The Steelers defense only gets stronger as it the game goes, so if you don't get them on their heals early the it may be hard to score some points. Special teams need to go in the favor for the Packers too, but the Steelers special teams has improved 100% from what it was last year.

What a game, just the hype pumps you up, but just think about how great it is going to be just to watch two teams that have faced adversity all year long, and now just have one more game to win before they can be called Champions of the world! WHO WILL BE THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPS?
My Pick= Steelers, 27-21

How to Succeed in the Super Bowl

What does it take to win a Super Bowl? The Steelers Franchise know how this is done. They have been to seven, and have won six of them. On Sunday will be their eighth Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. The Packers organization on the other hand, is very familiar with the Super Bowl. This will be their fifth Super Bowl appearance. The Packers have won three out of four Super Bowls.
