Hotline Talk

Hey guys. Has been a busy day up on the Hotline today. I hope that you are keeping up. I decided to bring you guys another article to just talk football. I want to talk about some headlines going around the NFL right now. In this specific post, if you are a NFL fan then post a comment on your opinion on these topics. I want all the talk I can get up on here. You will see a lot more talk up on here. We are now going to make this a much better site! Follow up on the site and let's talk some great football for years to come.

                                                    Polamalu Talk

This Sunday the Steelers defense lined up without Safety Troy Polamalu. Obviously it showed. You didn't get the big plays you get with Polamalu in there, then today with Polamalu out. A lot of fans, insiders, and other sources are not expecting to see Polamalu for the rest of the regular season. Polamalu who re-injured his achilles. Give Polamalu the remaining of the season to rest up for the playoffs. Even though the Steelers lost a close match up against the Jets, they clinched a playoff birth. The Steelers remaining schedule is the Panthers and the Browns. I sit Polamalu until the off season.

                                                  Jason Garrett Talk

Cowboys Interim Head Coach Jason Garrett has had the Cowboys rolling since he has stepped in taking over after Wade Phillips. Does Garrett deserve to be the Head Coach for the Cowboys? Jerry Jones has not made up his mind quite yet. I believe he will be the next coach. He knows the system and seems to be getting the team rallied to win these last few weeks. Garrett has not worked with Romo since he has been the Head Coach. His starter has been Jon Kitna. I think the players would like to see Garrett as the Head Coach. Garrett will need to get his team fired up and win these last two games to really convince Jerry Jones that he is the best option at Head Coach.

                                                   Bill Cowher Talk

A few articles have been reporting that former Steelers Head Coach Bill Cowher will be coming back to coaching next season. (If there is football in 2011, Different topic different time) Reported first by ESPN's Chris Mortensen. According to Mortensen, Cowher has a list in which teams that he would like to coach. That list is Giants, Dolphins, and the Texans. He likes these teams because of  "strong ownership." The Giants coaching job doesn't look to be opening up at the end of this year. That leaves the Texans or maybe the Dolphins. Tony Sporano has done a decent job for the Dolphins, and I think that they will give him one more chance to take this Dolphins team somewhere into the playoffs next season. The Texans seem to be the target where I would see Cowher. Gary Kubiak has had his chances to take this team to the playoffs, and just doesn't look too good for Kubiak and his chances to stay there. The Texans are in last place in the division and it is another disappointing season for this franchise. If Cowher will coach for a team on this list, most likely on the Dolphins or Texans.

                                                  Pro Bowl Voting Talk

The 2011 Pro Bowl voting has been very interesting. Leading the polls is Michael Vick. Here is your top 10 vote leaders.
1. Mike Vick
2. Tom Bray
3.Peyton Manning
4.Adrian Peterson
5.Aaron Rodgers
6.Drew Brees
7.Phillip Rivers
8.Arian Foster
9.Matt Ryan
10.David Garrard

                                                         MVP Talk

Lets talk about the possible MVP's this season. When I think of Offensive MVP, I think of Tom Brady, Mike Vick, and Phillip Rivers. Tom Brady has had a terrific season. Brady over a case of his last six to nine games have been outstanding. Brady looks to be the best candidate for this award. Brady has only four interceptions this season. Tied for first in the League in Passing touchdowns with 31. Mike Vick has just been a very surprising person this year. No one was expecting this kind of performance by him this year. Having the best season of his career, but missed a couple games due to injury and did not start this season at quarterback. Missing time may cost him the award. Phillip Rivers has had an outstanding season as well, but the inconsistency for the Chargers of winning games this year, I think that he gets overlooked. Brady gets looked at a lot more because of the wins and how hey do it. I think Brady wins the MVP this year.
Defensively the MVP I think is between Clay Matthews or Cameron Wake. Matthews has had an all around year. Wake has been rushing the quarterback very well. This award is up for grabs. I think Clay Matthews will end up win this award.

                                                             In Conclusion

In conclusion, this has been a great talk. I love all the topics. I want you to leave all of your comments that you want on here. I love to see them all. Keep checking in. Talk here up on the site. Spread the word! We all love the NFL and now it is time to talk some. Here on the Hotline!
