2011 Buccaneers Draft Preview

Hello everyone. As you know lately we have been getting very deep into the draft with team interviews, and talking to team experts. Today was no different. Here at Pro Football Hotline, we had the great opportunity to interview Gerald Brown. Gerald is the host of the great radio show THE BOTTOM LINE SPORTS SHOW. The show is about exactly that. It gets right to the 'bottom line' of all sports and the latest topics. "The Bottom Line Sports Show is Live every Tuesday & Thursday nights 9-10:30PM EST.  The show that features former NBA stars Penny Hardaway and Charles Oakley, with many of the top athletes from the world of sports. Pod casts are available"- Gerald Brown

Brandon Sweeney: Gerald, thanks for coming on PFH today!
Gerald Brown: My pleasure, thanks for the invitation.

Brandon Sweeney: Before we get to the 2011 Buccaneers draft, lets go first to the 2010 Buccaneers season. Reflect a little on the season the Buccaneers had. Tell us the accomplishments, and tell us the disappointments.
Gerald Brown: The Buccaneers offense emerged and showed promise getting contributions from the passing and running game. The weakness was as expected with young teams, not being able to close games out which cost them both games against the divisional winner Atlanta Falcons.

Brandon Sweeney:  In the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, who are the Buccaneers going to shoot for and why?
Gerald Brown: I think it will be a Defensive End. The draft has a ton of value at that position.

Brandon Sweeney: If this player doesn't make it to the Buccaneers, what will the Buccaneers do then?
Gerald Brown: Mark Ingram running back, in case Cadillac Williams doesn't return.

Brandon Sweeney: In the later rounds of the NFL Draft, what positions do the Buccaneers need to fill?
Gerald Brown: Cornerback, Linebacker, and Wide Receiver.

Brandon Sweeney: What three prospects do you want to see playing for the Buccaneers in 2011?
Gerald Brown: Prospects that come in and can help. Bucs' GM Mark Dominik has done a tremendous job finding talent.

Brandon Sweeney: If this team fills their team needs, what is your prediction for them in the 2011? (assuming we have football in 2011)
Gerald Brown:  Making the playoffs and potentially challenging for the division crown.

Brandon Sweeney: Gerald Brown everyone! A great person! I just want to thank you again for coming on the show! Keep up the great work on the radio, and come back again! Any last things that you would like to tell the readers?
Gerald Brown: Thanks for the opportunity to talk about my favorite football team. GO BUCS!
