Bengals Draft Recap

1st Round Pick- A.J. Green, WR Georgia
2nd Round Pick- Andy Dalton, QB TCU
3rd Round Pick- Dontay Moch, DL Nevada
4th Round Pick- Clint Boling, OL Georgia
5th Round Pick- Robert Sands, FS West Virgina
6th Round Pick- Ryan Whalen, WR Stanford
7th Round Pick(207 overall)- Korey Lindsey, DB Southern Illinois
7th Round Pick(246 overall)- Jay Finley, RB Baylor

Personal Favorites: A.J. Green is a good and smart player. A wise decision by the Bengals to take him at fourth overall. Green has a lot of potential to do great things in this league. Is a tall target at 6'4, very fast, and has soft hands. His stats tell the story all by itself. 57 catches for 848 yards, and 9 touchdowns in 2010.
Korey Lindsey is a small school corner that may have more talent than people realize. Can play good zone coverage. Can handle double moves very well. Will become a good nickel back maybe his rookie season. Maybe a steal for the Bengals.

Needs to Prove: Andy Dalton needs to prove probably the most out of this Bengals' class. He doesn't know when his time will come. By the sounds of it, his time may be coming at the binning of the 2011 season. He is a good leader on and off the field. I question his ability to read defenses at times. He is not very athletic compared to the other quarterbacks in this class. Has good accuracy and can really put a good zip on the ball. If Palmer does not stay with the Bengals, Dalton has to be ready.

Personal Notes: A good draft for the Bengals. Did not get very fancy with their picks. They got the best available and filled their needs. I personally think that this class will help this team out a lot. This is becoming a very young team and these rookies should fit right in.
Grade: B
