Saturday- Divisional Round games on the Gridiron

Well it's time now to take my picks for the Divisional round of the playoffs. Last week really was a great week of football. It had a little bit of everything. An upset, a couple close ones, and some very good highlights. Now the NFL fans want to see some more, and can't wait for the next game to kickoff.

Ravens @Steelers. This is the first game on schedule for the Divisional round. This game is probably going to be the best one all weekend. Two teams that know each other very well and really don;t like each other. Now I don't need to tell you that this will be the third time these two teams will square off against each other this season. I don't have to tell you that both of these teams played three times in the 2008 season as the Steelers went off to win the Superbowl. I think when these two teams play, all fans come to watch this game. The Ravens have been on a hot streak heading into this game. Just won a game six days ago against the Chiefs, and early in that game it looked to seem that the Chiefs had the Ravens number, but the Ravens turned that around real quick, as the walked away with a 30-7 win. Now they head into Pittsburgh with high expectations. A lot of talk throughout this week about this match up, and it starts with Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs. He has made some comments saying that he likes being the bad guy. Wearing a shirt that got under Steelers' fans skin. Steelers haven't talked too much, but the fans make up for it, and let me tell you, Steeler Nation is loud and proud right now! That makes it a great advantage for the Steelers. I expect the crowd to be a factor in this game. Wow, so much to talk about leading up to this game that we haven't talked about what is going to happen in this game yet, so lets get to that! For the Ravens it comes down to the defense of course, but it really comes down to Joe Flacco. Steelers seem to play their best against Flacco. they get after him, and just make big plays on him. The Steelers defense will need to step it up and score on offense, against this defense to win the game. Hearing that a lot of teams are picking the Ravens to go to the Superbowl, but I am not looking at it like that. I like the Steelers in this game. the Ravens will struggle in this game I believe. That Steelers offense has been red hot lately, and I think that they will score on Saturday. You guys might think my predicted score is a little crazy, but you will see that there will be more scoring that you think. My Pick = Steelers 24-13

Packers @ Falcons. Man, i don't think that there will be a game that will make me more confused on who to pick in this game. Makes a good prime-time game. As you look at last week, the Packers were able to establish a running game, something I didn't see happening last week. The Packers have struggled in the running game all year, and when it comes down to it, they run the ball, which is a great compliment to Aaron Rodgers who seems to be red hot right now. If the Packers can run the ball again in this game, then the falcons better be able to score some points, because we could be looking at a shoot-out. Like I said in a post before, I think that the Falcons have the most balanced offense in the League. If they want to run the ball they can with Michael turner, and they can also pass the ball with one of the best young stars in the league, Matt Ryan. Now going back to the Packers, Aaron Rodgers and his wide receivers. There is some great talent at wide receiver on the Packers. So many different names like Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, and James Jones. That is just to start with. Rodgers can put the ball right on the money, to make his receivers look even better. Really, what ever defense can make the big plays I see walking out with this one. Who can stop these two offenses that are on a hot streak? Who ever can answer that question will win this game. A very close game, but we all know that in the end, there could only be one winner. Don't be surprised if we see our first overtime game these playoffs, and we can watch those overtime rules go into effect. My Pick= Falcons 31-28
