When you look at the AFC, it's simple. The picture will almost stay right how it is. All four divisions have been clinched, and only one division does not have a winner as of right now. When I look at the remaining games from each team, one game continues to stick out. The Bengals going into Heinz Field to take on the Steelers. This will be the game that I believe will affect the picture. The Steelers have their back against the wall and have to win on Sunday if they want to be in the 6th seed. The Steelers have lost four out of their last five games and lost two in a row since Ben Roethlisberger has returned from his shoulder injury. The Bengals have been hot as of late. They have won five of their last six games. On Sunday, the Steelers have to stay away from turnovers or they are going to lose this game and lose their playoff shot. The Steelers must win out, and I believe they will come out firing against the Bengals early and find a way to win this game. The Steelers have had their backs against the wall plenty of times over the years and will need to show that they can put things together and get on a roll before the season ends.

Looking at the NFC, it's a bit different. There is a lot more wiggle room for teams. It will be interesting to see where each teams lands by time the season ends. The first thing to look at is the NFC East is in a three way tie. The Redskins, Cowboys, and the Giants are all tied at eight wins and six losses going into week sixteen. My projection will be that the Redskins lose in week seventeen to the Cowboys giving them the division title and knocking them out of a playoff seed. The Vikings are currently in the sixth seed and are playing the Texans this Sunday. The Vikings are fighting a tough Texans team that stand in the first seed on the AFC side and are looking to get a first round bye. When these two teams line up, I see the Vikings not being able to keep up with what the Texans are capable of doing, dropping them out of the playoff picture. Below you will see how I see the playoff picture looking by the end of week 17.
